Satish joined Redpoint in 2009 as a two-time founder and career entrepreneur. Noteworthy Investments he has led and championed include previously Snowflake (IPO), Pure Storage (IPO), Sonos (IPO), Zendesk (IPO), Duo Security (acquired by Cisco), Acompli (acquired by Microsoft), Cloud.com (acquired by Citrix), and StorSimple (acquired by Microsoft ). Some current Investments include Mistral AI, Modal, Cockroach Labs, Workato, Semgrep, Cyberhaven, Dagger and Livekit.
Prior to joining Redpoint, Satish was the founder and CEO of Zimbra which was incubated at Redpoint when he was an entrepreneur in residence and later acquired by Yahoo for $350 million. He was part of the founding team at Onebox (acquired by Openwave for $850 million) where he led engineering and network operations. Before then, he wrote the Servlet class loader and the JSP compiler at the Javasoft division of Sun Microsystems.
Since he understands first-hand the considerable ups and downs of building a company, Satish encourages founders to find balance and to keep an eye on the long game.
He serves on the Board of Fellows at Harker School. Additionally, he loves Trap Music, Nine Inch Nails, Dave Chapelle and True Detective, and is passionate about the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
